Well today I have a story to tell you:)

The Spartan Test.

There comes a moment where we're all faced with a choice to flee or stay. This story began at 2:50am on a Wednesday morning. I needed to use the toilet urgently, so I went. When I enetered the kitchen, it was empty(why else should it be not empty at 3 in the morning!). After answering nature's call, I felt thirsty.

As I moved towards the sink, I froze. I knew that I was'nt alone anymore. Something had entered that kitchen. Something dark, swift and deadly, which would attack me without a moment's hesitation.

I leaned infront slightly to peer into the sink and saw my worse nightmare...A COCKROACH!!!!!!

I leapt backwards. Due to my speed and agile reflexes, it did not see my movements. I beat a hasty retreat out of there. But as I returned to bed, I realized that my thirsty was growing by the minute. Finally I remembered that my mother has an emergency stash of water supplies in the room, so I drank from there.

But as I lay there, I realized that it was'nt right. My enemy was roaming freely in my own house and I was cowering in bed. At 3:50am, I got out of bed. I was going to war!!

That would be madness, some might say.

MADNESS???

THAT IS ADNAN!!!!

As I re-entered the kitchen, I was ready this time.I glanced into the sink, searching for my foe. It had moved to a different spot, right into my blind spot. I went low and moved to the cabinet underneath the sink. There my weapons were waiting: 1 standard issue insecticide canister, good for mutiple shots.

I stood up and crept behind my foe. I held my breath to steady my aim. One shot, one kill. And I took the shot.

The canister was empty. And there were no spares.

I retreated in shame. I found out later my dad killed the roach.
